Boston Police Seek Public's Help in Efforts to Locate Stolen Motor Vehicle with Dog Inside

At about 2:33PM, on Thursday April 2, 2015, officers from District E-5 (West Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a stolen motor vehicle at 585 Baker Street. Officers spoke to the victim, a local dog walker, who stated that she had left her vehicle running in a client’s driveway when the car was stolen. The victim further states that, at the time of the theft, there was a  small dog, described as a white and tan, Shih Tzu/Poodle Mix, inside the vehicle (see photo). The 10 year-old dog goes by the name of Pooh.

The investigation later revealed that the victim’s credit card had been used but declined purchases at about 3:01PM at the Newton Highland MBTA Commuter Rail Station and, then a second time,  at about 3:39PM at the Dunkin Donuts at 1955 Beacon Street in Brighton.  The stolen vehicle (see photo) is described as a dark gray 2011 Subaru Outback station wagon with a Thule ski rack on the roof and a dog partition in the rear.
