BPD in the News: Great Group of Young Teens Graduate from the BPD Teen Police Academy

A big thank you to Bill Shields of WBZ Channel 4 News for highlighting the great work that the kids in the BPD Teen Police Academy have been doing all summer. On Friday evening, August 14, 2015, forty teenagers graduated from the TPA, a program that teaches kids team building, hard work, and community service, as well as practical skills that can apply to their daily lives.

Said instructor Officer Darryl Owens, "Ninety-five percent of cops are good people; ninety-five percent of kids are good people. My job [as an instructor] is to introduce the first 95% to the second 95%."

Congratulations to this outstanding group of teens, and thank you for your dedication to the Boston community! Keep up the good work!
