Keeping Boston Safe: Officers Arrest Three and Recover Replica Firearm Used in Armed Robbery


At about 4:15 PM on Friday, January 1, 2016, an officer on a paid detail was flagged down by two victims of an armed robbery that occurred in the area of Walnut Park in District E-13 (Jamaica Plain).

The victims told the officer that they had been robbed at gunpoint while sitting in their vehicle with the three suspects, one of whom was known to the victims. The victim reported that the primary suspect hit him with the firearm then stole his cash, iPhone, and keyless entry remote to his car. The officer broadcast the suspect descriptions over the police radio, and responding officers were able to locate two of the suspects on Brookledge Street and one on Hutchings Street. Officers recovered a black full-sized airsoft pistol with the federally required orange safety tip removed from the primary suspect. Two of the suspects were also in possession of several counterfeit $20 bills at the time of the arrest.

Officers arrested 18-year-old Fabio Semedo from Dorchester, 18-year-old Trevon M. Jordan from Roxbury, and a 16-year-old juvenile from Roxbury for Armed Robbery. Semedo was additionally charged with Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon and Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon.
