Making a Difference: Officers Take Time Away from Protecting and Serving to Serve Holiday Meals in Neighborhoods Across the City

As we look back on a wonderful holiday, we give thanks to every officer who gave their time bringing food, smiles and laughter to members of our community.  There were countless gatherings across the city where officers got the chance to make a difference in the lives of those they serve.   One such event took place at The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Dorchester where Commissioner Evans, Mayor Walsh, Chief Gross, members of the BPD Command Staff and officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) served seniors from the neighborhood while greeting them with smiles, handshakes and even a few hugs.  Again, we thank all of our officers for their selfless acts of kindness and thank everyone who came out to share a bit of their holiday with the Boston Police Department.
