SIGHT FOR SORE EYES: BPD Officers Matt Morris and Richie Cintolo Turn Out for Benefit Hockey Game Honoring Them

SIGHT FOR SORE EYES: To everybody who turned out and showed up at the Porrazzo Rink in East Boston this past week to show their support for Officers Matt Morris and Richie Cintolo, we can't thank you enough. For the first time since both Matt and Richie were shot in the line of duty confronting a armed gunman while responding to a domestic disturbance in East Boston on October 13, 2016, both made their first public appearance together. To say it was a sight for sore eyes, is an understatement. Prior to the start of the benefit hockey game played in their honor between the BPD Hockey Team and the Bruins Alumni Team, the standing room crowd delivered a thunderous standing ovation when the officers were introduced. It was a special moment and fitting tribute to two officers who left their homes and their families over six weeks ago and almost didn't make it home. God Bless the men and women of the Boston Police Department, especially Matt and Richie as they continue to rehab and recover from their injuries.
