Daily Dose of Great Police Work: DCU Officers Arrest Man Selling Heroin in Dorchester

At about 4:00 PM on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, members of the District B-3 (Mattapan) Drug Control Unit made a drug-related arrest in the area of Fenelon and Washington Streets.

While conducting a drug investigation, officers observed a male known to them on his phone scanning the area as if waiting for someone to arrive. The officers observed the male walk onto Fenelon Street and enter the rear seat of a vehicle already occupied by one male and one female. The officers then observed what they knew to be, through their training and experience, a street level drug transaction. Officers approached the vehicle and observed a tin with a brown powder substance believed to be heroin inside the passenger area. The male who had entered the vehicle was removed from the car and a total of 55 bags of heroin were recovered from his person and his backpack. The two occupants of the vehicle admitted to buying heroin from the male for $80.00.

The male, 32-year-old Vic David Figueroa of Dorchester, was arrested and charged with Distribution of Class A Drugs (Heroin) and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A Drugs (Heroin). The two additional occupants of the vehicle will be summons to court on drug-related charges.
