BPD Photo of the Day: Hennigan School Students Get a Behind the Scenes Look at Boston Police Headquarters

Earlier today, Thursday May 5, 2016, a group of eighth graders from the James W. Hennigan School in Jamaica Plain were given a tour of Boston Police Headquarters as special guests of Superintendent Paul Fitzgerald, Chief of the Bureau of Intelligence and Analysis.  The students were given a behind the scenes look at the Crime Lab, the Boston Regional Intelligence Center and the Operations Center before sitting down for lunch at the Good Eats Cafe.

The students were introduced to the Superintendent earlier this year through the Big Cheese Reads initiative by Boston Partners in Education.  Big Cheese Reads is a sponsorship initiative that connects students to their community by inviting accomplished business, civic and cultural leaders to participate in classroom read-alouds to stress the importance of literacy.

Our thanks to Superintendent Fitzgerald for being a gracious host to these grateful students and staff members during their visit today - a great time was had by all.
