BPD in the News: Boston Police and Cops for Kids with Cancer Take Children Battling Cancer for a Boat Ride on the Harbor!

Wednesday, July 20, 2016 was a very special day for Connor Heffler, an 11-year-old boy suffering from a malignant tumor on his spinal cord. Connor was one of four youngsters diagnosed with cancer that was treated by Boston Police and Cops for Kids with Cancer to a boat ride around Boston Harbor with the BPD Harbor Patrol. Connor and his friends were provided a police escort to the unit, had ice cream from the BPD Hoodsie Truck, and even got to drive the boats!
