BPD Officers Arrest Suspect Wanted in Connection to Non-Fatal Stabbing in Downtown Crossing


At about 2:30 PM Tuesday, September 5, 2017, members of the Boston Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit located and apprehended Davongie Stone, 20, of Boston, a suspect wanted in connection to a non-fatal stabbing which occurred over the weekend. At about 12:40 AM on September 3, 2017, officers from District A-1 (Downtown) responded to call for a person stabbed in the area of Washington and Winter Streets. On arrival, officers located a male victim who was transported to an area hospital where he was treated for life threatening injuries. After a comprehensive investigation, investigators were able to ascertain the identity of the suspect. Earlier today, at about 2:30 PM, the suspect was seen walking in the area of Boston Common. Upon seeing the suspect, officers approached and took him into custody. Davongie Stone is charged with Assault with Intent to Murder, Armed Robbery and Intent to Rob while Armed. The suspect is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. The suspect is also wanted in connection to two armed assaults in Cambridge.
