Update: Victim Identified in Death Investigation in the Area of 31 Whittier Street in Roxbury


At about 1:46 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2018, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) heard the sound of gunfire while patrolling on foot in the area of 31 Whittier Street in Roxbury. Officers investigated and quickly located a male victim in his early 20's suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The victim has since been identified as Alexander Mervin, 22 of Revere.
