The facts and circumstances surrounding the incidents are as follows:

INCIDENT #1: At around 6:10 AM, on Tuesday October 2, 2018, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for an armed robbery in the area of 34 Beach Street in Dorchester. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated two Hispanic males driving a red motor vehicle pulled up to the victim, showed a black handgun and demanded money. When the victim refused, the suspects drove off.

INCIDENT #2: Approximately five minutes later, at about 6:15 AM, on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for an armed robbery in the area of 32 Mill Street in Dorchester. On arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he was entering his motor vehicle, described as a white Honda Accord, when a red motor vehicle with two occupants pulled up next to him. According to the victim, the operator of the red car, described as a light skinned Hispanic male with a black hat, pointed a small black firearm at the victim. When the victim ran off, one of the suspects stole his car.

INCIDENT #3: Approximately twenty six minutes later, at about 6:41 AM, on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a third call for an armed robbery, this time in the area of 49 Fuller Street in Dorchester. On arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that he was sitting in traffic behind a white vehicle, possibly a white Honda, when the operator of the vehicle walked back to his car, showed a weapon and demanded money. When the victim refused, the suspect returned to his vehicle and took off. The victim described the suspect as a light skinned Hispanic male, about 25 to 35 years-old, wearing a black hat, dark gray hoodie and black shorts.

Investigators promptly issued a bulletin to surrounding towns to be on the look-out for either the stolen white Honda Accord or the suspect’s red motor vehicle.

A few hours later, at about 9:30 AM, members of the Lawrence Police Department spotted a vehicle fitting the description of the white Honda Accord stolen out of Boston earlier in the day. After stopping the vehicle, Lawrence PD Officers were able to take the operator into custody. A search of the vehicle enabled officers to locate and seize a black firearm (see photo) later determined to be a BB gun.

The suspect, Keith Kirk, 27, of Boston, is charged with Armed Carjacking, multiple counts of Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) and Armed Assault to Rob. The suspect will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
