One Less Gun: Suspect in Custody After Shots Fired and Firearm Recovered in Roxbury

One Less Gun: At about 10:28 AM on Monday October 1, 2018, officers assigned to District B-2 and Boston Police Headquarters responded to a call for shots fired in the area of Prentiss Street and Albert Street in Roxbury. On arrival, officers quickly located ballistic evidence on the ground and recovered a discarded 9mm Smith & Wesson M&P handgun in a nearby trash barrel. Moments later, an individual matching the given suspect description was observed fleeing on foot into the Ruggles MBTA Station where he was stopped by an alert officer working a paid detail in the area. The suspect, Isaiah Wilson, 18, of Charlestown, was placed in custody without incident after being positively identified. The suspect will appear in Roxbury District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Carrying a Loaded Firearm and Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling.
