Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Three in Custody After BPD Officers Respond to Breaking and Entering in Progress in Jamaica Plain

 

At about 1:03 PM on Wednesday October 24, 2018, officers assigned to District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) placed three suspects in custody after responding to a call for a breaking and entering in progress in the area of 30 Mozart Street in Jamaica Plain. On arrival, officers were directed to a basement door in the rear which appeared to have been forced open. Officers soon located three individuals inside, later identified as Abdirahmaan Ali, 19, of Jamaica Plain, Hamza Jeilani, 18, of Dorchester and a 17-year-old juvenile male from Dorchester and placed them in custody after confirming that they did not reside in the building. Officers later spoke with a witness who stated that they had observed one of the suspects kick the basement door open prior to all three suspects entering the address. The adult suspects will be charged in West Roxbury District Court with Breaking and Entering while the juvenile suspect will be charged in West Roxbury Juvenile Court with Delinquent to Wit: Breaking and Entering.
