One Under Arrest for Destruction of Property Following Red Sox World Series Win


At about 12:15 AM on Monday, October 29, 2018, officers assigned to the Citywide Bicycle Unit made an onsite arrest following the Boston Red Sox World Series victory in the area of 75 Boylston Street in Boston. While monitoring the celebratory crowds, officers observed a male climbing a light pole inside of Boston Common. Officers further observed the male punch the light fixture multiple times, causing the plastic lens to shatter. Officers instructed the male to climb back down the light pole, to which he complied. The male was subsequently placed under arrest. 

The male, identified as Shawn Lindsay, 22-years-old, of Connecticut was charged with Malicious Destruction of Property and is expected to arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
