At about 1:15 PM on Thursday, December 27, 2018 members of the District B-3 (Mattapan) Drug Control Unit made an onsite arrest and recovered a loaded firearm in the area of 1575 Blue Hill Avenue in Mattapan. While on directed patrol in the area of the above location, officers made a motor vehicle stop as part of an ongoing drug investigation. During the traffic stop, the operator looked back at the officers multiple times while he appeared to place an object underneath him while he sat in the driver’s seat. When officers approached the motor vehicle, they observed the operator to be shaking uncontrollably and constantly hiding his hands from the officers’ sight. The operator became increasingly evasive with his answers to officers, who then removed him from the motor vehicle, fearing he was in possession of a weapon. While the suspect was removed from the vehicle, officers observed a black Ruger LCP .380 loaded with three rounds of live ammunition on the driver’s seat where the suspect had been sitting.
Officers arrested Dionix Villilo, 20-years-old of Hyde Park and charged him with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. Villilo is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
