Boston Police Department Seeking the Public's Help in Identifying Person of Interest in Attempted Robbery and Assault and Battery in Roslindale

Officers are seeking the public’s help in identifying a person of interest (shown in the above video and below still photos) in an assault and battery that occurred in the area of Cummins and American Legion Highways. 

At about 2:20 PM on March 21, 2018, officers from District E-18 (Hyde Park) responded to a radio call for a robbery in progress in the area of Cummins Market at 290 Cummins Highway, Roslindale. Upon arrival, officers were informed that a suspect attempted to rob the store and physically assaulted two of the employees before fleeing on foot on American Legion Highway toward Stella Street. The suspect was described as a black male with a bald or shaved head, approximately 38 to 40 years old, about 6’00” tall and 220 pounds with a stocky build. A witness also reported he had missing bottom front teeth. Surveillance video showed that the suspect was wearing a hard hat and orange work vest over a navy coverall jumpsuit, gray hoodie, and “Timberland” style work boots.

Boston Police detectives are releasing the above surveillance video in relation to this incident and request the public’s help in identifying the depicted individual. This person is NOT wanted at this time, and the information is being provided for identification purposes ONLY.
