Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss! Officers from the BPD School Police Unit Celebrate with Dorchester First Graders

Yesterday, Friday, March 2, was Dr. Seuss' birthday, and boy, did the BPD have a blast celebrating with the first graders at Pope John Paul II Academy in Dorchester! Deputy Superintendent Nora Baston and members of the Boston Police School Police Unit brought books to read to the kids, and in turn, the kids had the opportunity to read to the officers, as well. Together, they donned Dr. Seuss hats and talked about what the students want to be when they grow up--doctors, astronauts, presidents, firefighters, and, yes, we were happy to learn that some even wanted to be police officers!
