Daily Dose of Great Police Work: BPD Officers Arrest Juvenile Suspect After Bank Robbery in Roslindale


At about 2:22 PM on Thursday, March 29, 2018, officers assigned to District E-5 (West Roxbury) responded to a call for a bank robbery at the Cooperative Bank located at 40 Belgrade Avenue in Roslindale. On arrival, officers were informed that a masked suspect had stolen an undisclosed amount of currency and fled the area on foot. Additional responding units canvased the area and observed an individual fitting the suspect’s description running through neighborhood backyards. Officers stopped the male, and upon further investigation, located the stolen currency and other evidence which had been discarded nearby. Officers arrested the 17-year-old juvenile male from Roslindale and charged him with Unarmed Bank Robbery. The suspect will appear in West Roxbury Juvenile Court for arraignment.
