Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Quick Response Leads to the Arrest of Juvenile Suspect After Breaking and Entering in Dorchester


At about 9:34 AM on Friday, March 30, 2018, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) placed a juvenile suspect in custody after responding to a call for a residential alarm in the area of 481 Talbot Avenue in Dorchester.

On arrival, the officers secured the scene and began to check the residence for any signs of a forced entry. As the officers walked around to the rear, they observed a male suspect actively climbing out of a window of the home and onto the back porch. The officers were able to quickly arrest the suspect, a 16-year-old male from East Boston, without incident. The officers continued their investigation and observed shattered rear window along with a silver tire iron directly beneath it which was recovered as evidence. The suspect will appear in Dorchester Juvenile Court on charges of Delinquent to Wit: Breaking and Entering, Possession of Burglarious Tools and Trespassing.
