Officers were advised that a male suspect had entered the bank, passed a note and fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash in the direction of Cranmore Road. Responding officers quickly arrived on scene and located a suspect matching the given description hiding in the back of an illegally parked motor vehicle at the corner of Cranmore Road and Halsey Road. Officers successfully recovered the stolen cash and arrested the suspect, a 16-year-old male from Jamaica Plain, without incident. The suspect will be arraigned in West Roxbury Juvenile Court on one charge of Delinquent to Wit: Unarmed Bank Robbery.
This is the third arrest BPD officers have made in the last three days in connection to incidents of unarmed bank robberies in the City of Boston.
