Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Juvenile Male Arrested for Armed Robbery by Officers in District B-3 Mattapan


At about 4:22PM on Sunday, July 15, 2018, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a call for an armed robbery in the area of Mildred Avenue and Norfolk Street in Mattapan. The victim was walking on Norfolk Street when two male suspects in their late teens approached her from behind, placed a hard object against her back, and demanded her to walk to the nearest ATM.  A passerby heard the victim scream for help at which time both suspects fled on foot, stealing the victim’s headphones. Responding officers drove down Norfolk Street and observed a male matching the description of one of the suspects walking in the area of Norfolk Park. Officers proceeded to the park entrance and approached the suspect, later identified as a 15-year-old juvenile male from Randolph. One of the suspects was positively identified and the second suspect is still at large. Officers did not recover a weapon from the suspect.

The 15-year-old juvenile male was arrested and charged with Delinquent to wit; Armed Robbery. He will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
