BPD Community Alert: Boston Police Seek Public's Help in Identifying Person of Interest Related to Non-fatal Shooting in the Area of 998 Blue Hill Avenue, Mattapan

The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify a person of interest in connection to a shooting that occurred at about 11:34 AM on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in the area of 998 Blue Hill Ave in Mattapan. During the incident, an individual described as a black male, about 5'7" wearing a white t-shirt (pictured above) was seen entering the store and requesting the bathroom key. Witnesses heard a "bang" in the bathroom and saw the victim on the floor. The individual was seen leaving the store slowly and then running down Blue Hill Ave towards Callender Street. The victim sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was transported to an area hospital.

Boston police detectives are seeking to identify the above pictured individual. These images are being released for identification purposes ONLY. This person is NOT wanted at this time.
