UPDATE: Victim Identified in the Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident in South Boston

UPDATE: Victim Identified in the Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident in South Boston. Two days ago, at about 3:38 PM, on Wednesday July 25, 2018, officers assigned to District C-6 (South Boston) responded to a call for a motor vehicle accident in the area of L Street and East Sixth Street in South Boston. During the incident, two young children were struck and seriously injured. One of the children was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased while the second child remains hospitalized at this time. The victim in this incident has since been identified as Colin Thomas McGrath, 2, of South Boston.

Members of the Boston Police Fatal Collision Investigative Team continue to review the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident.
