BPD In The Community: Children from the Boston Police Junior Academy Spend the Day with Officers from Districts B-2 and E-13

BPD In The Community:  Children from the Boston Police Junior Academy spend the day with officers from Districts B-2 (Roxbury) and E-13 (Jamaica Plain).  Earlier today on Monday, July 30, 2018, the Junior Police Academy visited Boston Police Headquarters where they investigated a mock crime scene and learned about fingerprints with members of the Crime Scene Response Unit. The group made their rounds through headquarters, stopping by the Boston Regional Intelligence Center, and the Explosive Ordinance Unit where they learned what to do if they came across a suspicious package and quickly grasped the meaning of “See Something, Say Something!”

The children even spent time with the Superintendent-in-Chief, soon-to-be-Boston Police Commissioner, William G. Gross. Later, the children headed to Boston Bowl where they enjoyed some lunch, a few strings of bowling, and plenty of arcade games. You know it was a good day when the adults had just as much fun as the children!
