BPD and Local Business Owner Provide Much Needed Makeover to Stray Dog

On Tuesday, August 28, 2018, while on patrol in the area of Washington Street in Dorchester, Officer Shikoluk assigned to District C-11, located a seemingly abandoned dog with matted fur and overgrown nails wandering aimlessly around the busy street.  Due to the excessive heat and fear of harm, Officer Shikoluk carried the dog to his cruiser and brought him back to the district station. Well known dog lover, Lieutenant Leary, contacted The Modern Dog, a local business in Dorchester, to assist. The owner offered his services and Lieutenant Leary used her own personal funds to provide the pooch with a much-needed makeover!

The dog, nicknamed “Harry” in reference to the C-11 call sign, was then transported to Boston Animal Control for an evaluation.
