One Less Gun: Firearm Arrest Leads to Search Warrant Uncovering Guns and Drugs in Dorchester

ONE LESS GUN: At about 4:00 PM on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, Officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force made an onsite firearm arrest in the area of Blue Hill Avenue and McLellan Street, Dorchester. As a result of an ongoing firearm investigation, officers conducted a motor vehicle stop and did place two males under arrest. Officers arrested Hassan Searcy, 20-years-old from the South End and charged him with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Loaded Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. Officers also arrested another passenger, Jaquori Lyons, 20-years-old from Lynn, on an outstanding warrant. Officers recovered a loaded Ruger 9mm as well as 8 rounds of ammunition.

Upon further investigation, detectives were able to obtain a search warrant of the residence in which the suspects emerged from, in the area of Esmond Street. Upon executing the search warrant on Thursday, August 30, 2018, officers placed four individuals under arrest. Officers also recovered a loaded SCCY 9mm firearm, a .357 Luger revolver, body armor, ammunition, as well as multiple Xanax pills and drug paraphernalia. Officers arrested Roy Martin, 25 -years-old of Dorchester, Stephen O’Neal, 24-years-old of Mattapan, Kenneth Martin, 23-years-old of Dorchester and a 17-year-old juvenile male of Dorchester. All of the suspects were charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class C Drugs.

All suspects to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
