Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Officers Arrest Suspect Following Broken Bottle Slashing in Roxbury


DAILY DOSE OF GREAT POLICE WORK: At about 9:39 PM on Monday, September 17, 2018, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for two people stabbed in the area of Shawmut Avenue and Ball Street in Roxbury. Upon arrival, officers observed two male victims suffering from non-life-threatening lacerations. Uncooperative victims led officers to an unidentified witness who provided a description of the female suspect. Officers assigned to District B-2 located a female matching the description of the suspect in the area of 303 Dudley Street in Roxbury. Officers placed the suspect, Celia Simmons, 59, of Dorchester under arrest.

Simmons is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury Court for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
