UPDATE: Search Warrant Enables BPD Investigators to Recover Two Firearms in Connection to Shooting Incident Involving a Boston Police Officer: One day after a Boston Police Officer suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound during an encounter with an armed suspect, today, Monday, September 24, 2018, District D-4 (South End) Detectives, along with members of BPD Crime Scene Response Unit, executed a search warrant at 91 W. Springfield Street in the South End that enabled investigators to recover two firearms. While searching the location, investigators were able to locate and confiscate a Walter .380 semi-automatic handgun and a Ruger 9mm semi-auto handgun. The Boston Police Department continues to actively review the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident.
