UPDATE: Execution of Search Warrant Leads to Discovery of Multiple Firearms Following Shooting in Roxbury


UPDATE: At about 10:57 PM on Monday, September 24, 2018, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) executed a search warrant of 95 Munroe Street in Roxbury. Following the arrest of a male suspect wanted for a non-fatal shooting that occurred earlier the same day in the area of 724 Shawmut Avenue in Roxbury, detectives obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s residence. Officers were able to safely recover the following items: six revolvers, two semi-automatic pistols, a sawed-off shotgun, a bolt action rifle, a silencer, shotgun ammunition, rifle ammunition, pistol ammunition, as well as an empty pistol holster.

Earlier this afternoon, on Tuesday September 25, 2018, investigators executed a second search warrant on the suspect’s vehicle which resulted in the recovery of additional pistol and rifle ammunition along with another empty pistol holster.

As a result, additional charges were filed today against the suspect in Roxbury District Court.

Said Commissioner William Gross, “I would like to thank my officers and detectives for their hard work and dedication which led to the arrest of this suspect and subsequent search warrant execution. The men and women of the Boston Police Department continue to prioritize getting illegal firearms off of our streets and out of the hands of criminals. All of us here at the BPD will continue to work together with members of the communities we serve and our partners in the justice system to hold these violent offenders responsible for their actions.”
