BPD in the Community: Hi-5-Friday stops by the Hennigan School in Jamaica Plain

Hi-5-Friday stops by the Hennigan School in Jamaica Plain: Earlier this morning smiles were seen on the faces of students, Boston Police Officers and Transit Police Officers as they welcomed bus riders.  A number of cadets also took part in giving out Hi-5’s and had a phenomenal time connecting with and making a positive impression on the kids from the Hennigan School in Jamaica Plain.  The kids were surprised and were overheard saying they wanted to become cops when they grow up!

Said one of the officers, “It’s so important for the kids to see and interact with us in a positive, fun, friendly environment. Keeping kids safe is one of our most important priorities. When kids see police officers, we want them to see people who care about keeping them safe. And, Hi-5-Friday is a perfect way to send that message.”
