One Less Gun: Officers Recover Loaded Firearm in Roxbury

 

ONE LESS GUN: At about 12:59 AM on Thursday, September 6, 2018, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) recovered a loaded firearm in the area of 135 Humboldt Avenue in Roxbury. While on patrol in the area, officers observed a large group of individuals gathered in Trotter Park. Noting that all Boston Parks close at dusk, officers approached the group in an effort to remove them from the area. Officers observed multiple bottles of alcohol and trash encompassing the area in which the individuals were gathered. Officers further observed a black grocery bag on the ground next to where the group was standing. Inside of the bag, officers located a loaded Taurus Millennium G2 firearm. The firearm was turned over to the BPD Firearms Analysis for processing.
