October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Since 2013, law enforcement agencies around the country have been displaying pink patches on their uniforms during the month of October in an ongoing effort to raise public awareness of breast cancer and the importance of early detection. Earlier today, October 3, 2019, law enforcement agencies from around Massachusetts stopped by Gillette Stadium to, not only, kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but, to also display the pink shoulder patches many will be wearing on their police uniforms as a show of support and encouragement to all fighting this devastating disease.
