BPD in the Community: Members of BPD Academy Recruit Class 58-18, as well as other members of the BPD including Operations Dispatchers and Call Takers, spent Saturday, April 6, 2019, climbing the stairs to the top of 200 Clarendon Street all part of the Ginormous Climb where all proceeds raised support the Children’s Advocacy Center, a non-profit organization created to protect and support children who have been victims of either physical or sexual abuse. The CAC coordinates and streamlines the efforts of law enforcement, prosecutors, advocates, as well as, medical and mental health experts all working hard to keep kids safe. As members of the BPD could attest, when climbers got to the top of 200 Clarendon Street, in addition to climbing 1,200 stairs, participants enjoyed a tremendous sense of satisfaction generated from knowing they had spent the day helping and aiding an incredibly worthy and just cause.
