The Boston Police Department Seek the Public’s Help to Identify Person of Interest in South End Robbery

The Boston Police Department is releasing the above images in an effort to identify the individual pictured in relation to a robbery which occurred in the South End.

The facts of the original incident are as follows: At about 1:34 AM on Saturday April 27, 2019, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) responded to a call for a robbery in progress in the area of 238 West Canton Street. On arrival, officers located an adult female victim who stated that she had been walking on the Southwest Corridor when an unidentified male suspect approached her from behind and struck her on the head. The victim was not sure if she had been struck by an object or the suspect’s fist. The suspect then took the victim’s purse and fled on foot down West Canton Street towards Columbus Avenue.

The suspect is described as a black non-Hispanic male, standing between 5’7” and 5’9”, with a bald head.
