Investigation Update: BPD Seeks to Identify Vehicle of Interest in Connection to Vehicular Homicide Investigation in the Area of Fottler Road and Hiawatha Road in Mattapan

UPDATE: The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in effort to identify a vehicle of interest in relation to an ongoing vehicular homicide investigation.

The original facts and circumstances surrounding the incident are as follows: At about 3:22 PM, on Thursday, May 16, 2019, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a radio call to assist Boston EMS in the area of Fottler and Hiawatha Roads in Mattapan. On arrival, officers were notified by Boston EMS that the victim, an adult female, had suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At the time of the incident, the above-pictured motor vehicle was observed travelling on Hiawatha Road in the direction of Blue Hill Avenue. The vehicle is described as a black-colored sedan with windows that appeared to be tinted. The operator, who was last seen walking away from the scene towards Tennis Road, is described as a black female with a heavy build and long hair, wearing a white shirt and black pants.
