BPD Detectives Honored by the Irish American Police Officers Association

BPD Detectives Honored by the Irish American Police Officers Association: On Saturday, May 4, 2019, the Irish Police Officers Association hosted their 20th Annual Awards Dinner at the Irish American Club in Malden. During the evening, five Boston Police detectives were recognized and honored for exemplary investigative methods that led to the arrest of an individual wanted in connection to several armed robberies in both Boston and Somerville. While working in coordination with Somerville Police and the BPD’s Boston Regional Intelligence Center, investigators from District A-1 (Downtown) were able to identify and locate the individual after identifying a motor vehicle seen in the area of several of the robberies. Thanks to a coordinated effort and search, the car led investigators to the suspect who was later arrested and charged for his role in multiple armed robberies in and around Boston. Honored during the ceremony were: Lt. Det. Charles Wilson, Sgt. Det. Michael Talbot, Sgt. Det. Paul McLaughlin, Det. Stephen Morash and Det. David Juba. Said Commissioner William Gross who attended the ceremony in support of his officers, “The recognition in this case is certainly well deserved and I couldn’t be more proud of my officers for their ongoing commitment to keeping people safe.”
