BPD Officers Recover Large Capacity Firearm After Responding to Call for Shots Fired in Dorchester

At about 12:34 AM on Monday May 6, 2019, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) recovered a large capacity firearm after responding to a call for shots fired in the area of 68 Magnolia Street in Dorchester. Officers conducted their investigation which led to the recovery of a .40 caliber Glock 35 handgun with one round of ammunition in the chamber and a fully loaded 22 round magazine located next to it underneath the rear porch of 14 Woodford Street. The weapon has since been turned over to the BPD Firearms Analysis Unit for processing. This investigation remains active and ongoing at this time.
