Officers Arrest One Adult Male on Gun Charges in the Downtown Crossing Area of Boston

ONE LESS GUN: At about 11:02 PM.,on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, officers assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) made an on-site firearm arrest of Terrence Wilkins, 28, of Boston, in the area of 103 Arch Street, Downtown Crossing.

The officers were on patrol in the area of Summer and Arch Streets when their attention was drawn to a motor vehicle whose insurance had been revoked. As the officers approached the vehicle, they observed a male, later identified as Terrence Wilkins, 28 of Boston, exit the vehicle and begin walking in the opposite direction back toward Summer Street. Once Wilkins made eye contact with the officers, he took off running while holding the left side of his waist band area. 

Officers apprehended Wilkins and recovered a loaded Taurus G2c 9mm handgun with one live round in the chamber, along with a high capacity feeding device with seventeen live cartridges inside.

Terrence Wilkins will be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on the following charges: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Loaded Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, and Resisting Arrest
