BPD Officers Arrest Juvenile Male in Possession of Firearm with Large Capacity Feeding Device in Dorchester

ONE LESS GUN: About 4:24PM, on Monday, June 17, 2019, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to the area of 36 Winston Road in Dorchester for a radio call for an armed robbery in progress.  

Upon arrival, officers observed the suspect immediately turn and flee on foot towards the area of 19 Marden Avenue then onto Middleton Street. After a foot chase, officers apprehended the suspect and recovered a Smith & Wesson M&P firearm with a loaded extended magazine (see photo) which had been discarded by the suspect as he attempted to escape the officers.

The juvenile suspect was charged with the following: Delinquent to wit: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Delinquent to wit: Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Delinquent to wit: Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Delinquent to wit: Carrying Loaded Firearm on a Public Way and Delinquent to wit: Trespassing. The suspect is scheduled to be arraigned in Dorchester Juvenile Court.
