Roxbury Man Arrested on Gun and Trafficking Charges After Motor Vehicle Stop

At about 12:50AM on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, officers assigned to District B2 (Roxbury) made an on-site firearm and drug arrest in the area of Magazine Street and Kemble Street in Roxbury.

While patrolling the area, officers observed a motor vehicle travelling on Magazine Street towards Massachusetts Avenue fail to stop at a solid red light. Officers activated their lights and sirens to conduct a traffic stop.

During the traffic stop officers recovered a loaded Pietro Baretta .380, Model 84BB with thirteen rounds in the magazine. While officers were conducting a search incident to arrest, they observed a plastic bag with individually packaged plastic bags, believed to contain methamphetamine’s and a small bag of a brown powder like substance believed to be Fentanyl.  Officers seized more than $8,000 in U.S. Currency, 41 grams of a clear crystal white substance, 61 grams of a brown powder substance, 13 grams of a white rock substance and 43 pieces of a white pill with the name “Xanax” on it.

Thiago Teixeira was arrested and charged with: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Unlawful Possession of a Loaded Firearm, Trafficking Class A, Drugs (28-99 Grams), Trafficking Class B, Drugs (28-99 grams), Possession with intent to Distribute, Class B, Drugs.
