BPD in the Community: BPD Officer Chambers and Local Students Volunteer at the Our Savior Lutheran Church

On Tuesday, May 28, 2019, local students, assisted by Boston Police Officer Chambers —assigned to the School Police Unit, volunteered to serve dinner to homeless veterans and residents at the Our Savior Lutheran Church in A-7 (East Boston).

During his time with the School Police Unit, Officer Chambers has cultivated meaningful relationships with students from all around the city who want to be active in their communities. When asked about his work in the school system, Officer Chambers reflected:

“These students have been an absolute delight to work with as they have exceeded the level of hard work that I require of them. I feel like we are on the cusp of a profound moment in their lives.”
