Suspect in Custody After BPD Officers Recover Loaded Firearm During Investigation in Roxbury

At about 3:45 AM on Thursday June 6, 2019, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) made an onsite firearm arrest during an investigation in the area of 11 Brookford Avenue in Roxbury. The officers had been called to the area due to possible drug activity and were speaking to several parties on scene when they observed a distinct bulge in the front sweatshirt pocket of one of the individuals, later identified as Alex Dalomba, 19, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Officers performed a pat frisk at which time they recovered a loaded .380 Taurus PT 738 handgun from the suspect’s sweatshirt pocket. The suspect was immediately placed in custody without incident. The suspect will appear in Roxbury District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Carrying a Loaded Firearm.
