Suspect in Custody After BPD Officers Respond to Breaking and Entering in Progress in Roxbury

At about 8:05 PM on Monday July 29, 2019, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Michael Castellucci, 35, of Boston, on numerous charges after responding to a breaking and entering in progress in the area of 98 Callumet Street in Roxbury. On arrival, officers spoke with two residents who stated they were sitting on their coach when they observed the suspect walking out the back door of their apartment with their roommate’s flat screen television under his arm. Officers were aware that during several recent breaking and entering incidents in the Mission Hill area, the unknown suspect involved had fled on foot towards the Dudley triangle area. Armed with this information, responding officers soon spotted Castellucci on foot in the rear of 2387 Washington Street at which time a lengthy foot pursuit ensued. The suspect was eventually placed in custody after a violent struggle in the rear of 55 Roxbury Street. The suspect will appear in Roxbury District Court on charges of Breaking and Entering, Resisting Arrest and Simple Assault.
