BPD Officers Arrest Suspect in Connection to Fatal Stabbing in the area of Clarence Street in Roxbury: At about 12:21pm, on Sunday, August 11, 2019, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a call for a person stabbed in the area of Clarence Street in Roxbury. On arrival, officers observed an adult female suffering from what appeared to be multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.

While still on scene, officers were able to establish the identity of the suspect wanted in connection to the stabbing. Officers arrested Valdir Chaves, 43, of Roxbury and charged him with Murder.
