Two Suspects in Custody After BPD Officers Respond to Call for a Person Shot in Roxbury

 

SIGNIFICANT ARREST: At about 3:58 PM on Friday August 16, 2019, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested two suspects on multiple charges after responding to a call for a person shot in the area of 530 Warren Street in Roxbury. On arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds who was immediately transported to an area hospital for treatment. His condition is listed as critical at this time. While canvassing the area, responding officers observed two suspects, later identified as Dashawn Price, 23, of Roxbury, and Jean Cassamajor, 18, of Dorchester, fleeing the scene as they jumped over a backyard fence in the area of 120 Humboldt Avenue. The two suspects were detained and later placed in custody after being interviewed by detectives. The two suspects will appear in Roxbury District Court on charges of Armed Assault with Intent to Murder, Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.
