BPD in the Community: District D-14 Hosts Day of Kayaking for Youth Runner’s Club

BPD in the Community: On August 1, 2019, the District D-14 (Brighton) Community Service Office hosted a day of Kayaking on the Charles River as part of their year-long running program “Road to the Right Track.” Started in 2013 by BPD Civilian Frank Hughes, the program focuses on the importance of health and wellness. The program meets twice a week fifty-two weeks a year to exercise together. With assistance from officers within District D-14 as well as various specialized units, once a month the runner's club meets to discuss the importance of living a healthy lifestyle and the importance of exercising!
