Investigation Update: BPD Homicide Investigators Arrest Additional Suspect in Connection to Homicide in the area of 10 Mattapan Street

Investigation Update: Boston Police Homicide Investigators have made a third arrest in connection to the fatal shooting of a 74-year-old woman several months ago in Mattapan. On Friday, August 23, 2019, members of the BPD’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit located and arrested Anthony Davis, 37, of Mattapan. The suspect is expected to be arraigned in Suffolk Superior Court on charges of Murder, Armed Assault with Intent to Murder, Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (4th and Subsequent), Armed Career Criminal (Level 2) and Habitual Offender. 

Dane Henry, 23, of Roxbury, who had previously been arrested in connection with the investigation on separate charges Henry, will now be charged with Murder, Armed Assault to Murder and Intimidation of a Witness. Henry is currently in custody.  

The facts and circumstances surrounding the original incident are as follows: At about 4:57 PM on Saturday, April 6, 2019, officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a call for a person shot in the area of 10 Mattapan Street in Mattapan. On arrival, officers located an elderly female victim suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. That victim was later identified as Eleanor Maloney, 74, of Mattapan.
