Members of the BPD's Fugitive Apprehension Team Nab Suspect Wanted for Murder in Chicago

At about 8:46am, on Monday, August 5, 2019, members of the BPD’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit, while working in coordination with members of the US Marshals Service and Mass State Police, located and arrested Javier Castillo, 30, of Boston in the area of 100 Homestead Street in Roxbury. Castillo was wanted in connection to a homicide that occurred in Chicago the day after Christmas on December 26, 2018. Castillo was arrested without incident and charged with being a Fugitive from Justice. Castillo now awaits extradition to Chicago.
