Officers Make Arrest After Two Firearms are Recovered from a Motor Vehicle

At about 7:20 PM, on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force, arrested suspects, Jordan Hart, 31, of Roxbury, and Paris Quilter, 28, of Dorchester on firearm charges in the area of 9 Moody Street in Dorchester

While on patrol, officers were informed that there were multiple people with firearms sitting in a motor vehicle in the area of Dunbar Avenue and Wentworth Terrace. Meanwhile, another 911 call came in for a person with a gun operating a motor vehicle matching the same description. Officers observed the motor vehicle stopped in traffic and due to the nature of the call, they were able to safely approach the motor vehicle and remove the occupants without incident.

Officers recovered a loaded .45 Glock 21, with one round in the chamber, and 8 rounds in a large capacity magazine. Also recovered from the motor vehicle was a loaded .25 Raven Arms MP-25, with one round in the chamber and one round in the magazine.

Hart and Quilter will be charged with the following; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. Both suspects will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
