BPD Stops by Starbucks in South Boston to Celebrate National Coffee with a Cop Day

Wednesday, October 2, 2019, was National Coffee with a Cop Day and BPD stopped by Starbucks on East Broadway in South Boston. Mayor Martin Walsh, Boston Police Commissioner William Gross, members of his command staff, and officers assigned to District C-6, greeted customers and enjoyed a cup of coffee to get the day started.  No agenda or speeches, just a chance to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know the officers in your neighborhood. Nothing Better than Having a Cup of Coffee With A Cop at the Swissbäkers in Allston/Brighton: Our officers assigned to District D-14 (Brighton) had a wonderful time connecting and communicating with community members at 'Coffee with a Cop' earlier today, Wednesday, August 28, 2019, hosted by the fine folks at the Swissbäkers Bakery at 168 Western Ave in Allston. As always, the BPD’s ‘Coffee with a Cop’ community policing initiative is all about bringing people together - police officers and the community members alike – to discuss and problem solve issues impacting our neighborhoods. And, best of all, the coffee’s always on us. Thanks again to everybody who turned out. Make no mistake about it, together we make our city safer.
